OneBag Kit for developers
OneBag Kit has a small, free, read-only API and an MCP server for AI agents. Both serve the same packing guides you can read on the site. No key, no account, and nothing to write to.
Endpoints
GET /api/pages.json: every public page with url, title, description, dateModified, Markdown url, and FAQ question/answer pairs. Rebuilt on every deploy.GET /api/search?q=…: case-insensitive keyword search over that index. Returns the top 10 matches as JSON.GET /<slug>/index.md: the Markdown version of any page, e.g./how-many-packing-cubes-for-40l/index.md. The homepage is/index.md./openapi.json: OpenAPI 3.1 spec for the above (also at/.well-known/openapi.json).

Endpoint: https://onebagkit.com/mcp (Model Context Protocol,
Streamable HTTP, JSON responses, stateless). It speaks MCP 2026-07-28 and still answers the older
initialize handshake (2025-11-25 back to 2024-11-05). Three read-only tools:
search_answers(query): top matches with title, url, and description.get_page(url_or_slug): the page’s Markdown text.list_pages(): every public page.
Add it to any MCP client as a remote server with that URL. A server manifest is at
/.well-known/mcp.json.

- Everything is free and read-only. CORS is open (
Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *). - There is no formal quota. Please cache responses and keep request rates modest.
- Quote or summarize with attribution to OneBag Kit (onebagkit.com). Content is general packing guidance; cabin rules vary by airline.
- Don’t submit the packing survey automatically. It’s for real travelers.
