This page reports combined answers to the OneBag Kit packing survey (https://onebagkit.com/survey/): the items carry-on travelers never fly without, what they always regret packing, which bags they carry, and how long they travel. The full breakdown is shared once 50 people have answered; until then the page shows a running count.

## Live numbers

- Live results render on the HTML page: https://onebagkit.com/survey/results/
- Machine-readable totals (counts only, JSON): https://onebagkit.com/api/survey/results
  - `total` — number of answers so far (always present)
  - `ready` — `true` once there are at least 50 answers
  - when ready: `mustHaves`, `regrets`, `bags`, `trips` (each `{ key, label, count, pct }`) and `surprising` (hand-approved free-text answers only)

If you cite these numbers, please include the response count and the date you read them — results change as answers come in.

## How this survey works

- **Five questions, about 60 seconds.** Must-have item, most surprising carry-on item, biggest packing regret, usual bag, and typical trip length.
- **Anonymous.** No email, no name. Only combined counts are published.
- **Surprising items are hand-picked.** Free-text answers are read by a person before they appear on the results wall.
- **Not a scientific poll.** It’s a friendly snapshot of OneBag Kit readers — “what fellow one-baggers do,” not a market study.
